Got a sense of adventure? Want to get involved in exciting outreaches in Moldovan villages?

Every summer more than 200 international participants visit Moldova for our “Love Moldova” programme. Over a two-month period of the summer, we offer a variety of exciting options for two-week outreaches in Moldovan villages. Teams come alongside local churches sometimes staying in one village and sometimes travelling from place to place to share God’s love and truth with the people of Moldova.

The purpose of this Love in Action outreach is to help the local churches in their ministries by reaching out to children, youth, and elderly in villages. Through this cross-cultural experience, you will have the amazing opportunity to grow in your faith and relationship with God.

You will be working with local churches, organising a day camp for children, visiting elderly people in their homes, and helping practically where needed.

Suitable for

Ministry Details

During the children’s day camp, you will be organising games, doing crafts, sharing a Bible story, puppets, drama, singing songs, and more. You will also visit and encourage families and elderly people in their homes by listening to their stories, sharing testimonies, distributing food parcels and Bibles, and possibly helping with practical work. You will most likely work in two different churches and villages.

Participant Profile

Do you have a heart for children and the elderly? Do you want to be challenged in your faith and experience God in a new way through cross-cultural ministry? Do you want to share the Gospel in a practical way and encourage local churches and believers? Come and join us!

Accommodation

You will stay at the OM centre on arrival & before departure where you will have your debrief. During the outreach you will stay with local families or in church buildings in the villages.

Food

Good Moldovan food is provided. Sometimes you will have to prepare your own meals together as a team. Please advise us if you have any special dietary requirements.

Travel

You must arrange their own travel to and from Chisinau, Moldova (RMO). You will be picked up by OM team members at the airport, train, or bus station and taken back to the airport, train or bus station after the outreach. The dates above include the arrival and departure days.

Please do not book flights unless you have received an official acceptance email from the short term missions team.

Health

You must be in good health and physically able to stand, bend, lift, walk and do other physical activities as needed.

Visa

British citizens do not require a visa to enter Moldova for less than 90 days.

Notes

Price is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

Individuals applying must be 18 or over.

Under 18's are welcome to apply but must have parental consent and be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children under 13 will be included on their parent’s application form. 

As part of our safeguarding policy, you will require a valid enhanced DBS certificate which may cost an additional £15.
