Join OM UK to teach English on our well established English Language and Cultural Opportunities (ELCO) programme. We are looking for a dynamic, professional English Language Teacher who is self-motivated and passionate about preparing international people to serve effectively on an English speaking mission team. As an ELCO English Teacher you will have the exciting opportunity to work as part of a committed team, working closely with our other English teachers and mission team in Birmingham.

Start Date: as soon as possible
Commitment Length: as long as possible (Full Time)
  • Teach English as a foreign language at levels from elementary to upper intermediate to multinational groups of adult students.
  • Assess and test English student ability levels and achievement.
  • Teach to a high professional standard, following good practice for English language teaching (ELT).
  • English teaching classroom management.
  • One-to-one teaching of English to adult students at levels from elementary to upper intermediate.
  • Planning and preparation of lesson material, following course curriculum.
  • Preparing and setting tests, exercises and other homework assignments.
  • Marking homework and giving individual feedback to students on oral and written work.
  • Conduct regular tutorials with students.
  • Provide regular reports to coordinator on progress of students
  • Contribute to developing curriculum and course materials, including written, audio and visual resources.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in ELT.
  • Seek opportunities for further training and professional development.
