Helping people grow and succeed is a fundamental Biblical principle. Being committed to training and lifelong learning is an essential part of OM’s DNA and ethos. We honour and glorify God by pro-actively and intentionally investing in the lives of our staff. We aim to instill a culture of learning; providing opportunities for each person to grow spiritually, intellectually and to develop the skills needed for ministry.
Many OM field training programmes include areas such as cross-cultural living, evangelistic skills, and discipleship. OM has also developed training that meets the need of a continually growing internationally community. We are aware that many people join OM hoping to develop personally in a wide range of skills and abilities. The training that OM offers is interactive and well-resourced, and is delivered by qualified practitioners.
Courses cover areas such as equipping those who will train, mentor and coach others. Those expressing a desire to lead will also have opportunity to gain and further develop skills in this area.
People can join OM with the expectation of being developed, equipped, and trained within the context of their ministry. By investing intentionally in our staff we express that value for them as a person, not only as a tool for the task.
When leaving OM, you will have developed transferable skills that make OM alumni sought after in both the secular market work place and other Christian ministries.
